During a course that I took back then, there is a subject that encourages us to do self reflection on a daily basis. We were asked to keep a journal to pen down our daily thoughts.
It is they called self-reflective analysis and often in smallest awareness, great potential for change takes effect.
I concluded that one of the skills to be a good manager is to listen. Often than not, many people do not listen or do not cultivate the art of listening. Many wants to be heard but none wants to do the listening. Is it one of human natures in staying perfect?
I also concluded that one of male traits is that the tendency to stereotype. It makes it harder to change one's view when it has been set so rigidly. It can be one of the turn off key in communication.
Hence the essential key point in people skills is listening. Always listen to what others have to say.
As I ponder further, I started to link with culture and upbringing. Can this be the factors that determine the way a person behaves.
