Goodbye Rabbit

We usually get together on the Eve of the New Year and have a grand dinner together. This year, Aunt got us a pot of 'treasures' from V garden. I am not exactly sure what is it called. It has a name and I am very sure it meant golden, prosperity and somewhere along that line.

I am just happy that we have it this year because it is one of my favourite dish. I love the lucky vege also known as fatt choy. It look alot like seaweed, taste like seaweed and smells like seaweed. I have no idea why is it called a vege let a lot lucky. And then 10 prawns lined up back to back one another along the pot.
Underneath is where all the yummy goodies hides. Mushrooms, seacucumber, slices of abalone and brocolli.
I love 'em all!

It's priced at RM298 from V garden and it comes with the pot! I was very attracted to pot because how many dishes comes with a pot?! It's very clever because it is pre arranged and pre cooked. All we need to do is just heat it and Ta daa!

The main limelight of the night.

Joke of the year. Mom was telling me that this year we will avoid artificially coloured drinks and she opt for POP soda drink. So, she called Ai Hoi over the phone to get the lemon flavoured ones.

And our friend showed up much later with TOP detergent, lemon scented.

Mom was so dumbfounded that she said, why would she want to buy lemon scented detergent on a New Year?

And then she added, want to commit suicide also not this way.

I think it was so funny when mom was telling me about it. I kept laughing because I can imagine her facial expression when Ai Hoi were to show up with a packet of detergent instead of soda drinks.

So this year, we all had home-brewed chrysanthemum tea instead of lemon flavoured soda drink.

I am still laughing about it.
